How many things are you juggling each day? If you are anything like me, it is a lot of items. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, or things are not going as planned, or it feels like I am failing. How we react to this makes all the difference in our mindset. Reacting negatively and feeding yourself constant negative talk will cause more overwhelming feelings and underperforming habits.
Using a mantra of sorts can help get you to get in the right frame of mind. I often use sentences like:
I am strong
I am joyful
I am successful
I am at ease
I am smart
Using sentences that start with “I am” will help you get your mind in a positive place. The “I am” will become who you are. It allows you to get through your to-do list every day and set other goals for the next day. Using words to motivate yourself during your day can make all the difference in the world to encourage success.
Here are a few words to get you started. Pick 3 to 5 words that describe you and add “I am” in front of them, and say them as your mantra a few times a day. You can set the alarm for every two hours to stop what you are doing and repeat your personal “I am” mantra to yourself.
Once you start doing this every day a few times a day, you will begin to notice a feeling of positivity and strength. Although you are taking little breaks throughout the day, you will be accomplishing more. Reminding yourself how special you are will bring you feelings of happiness and clarity. And who doesn’t want to feel like that each day?
