Do you like to hike? Hiking is one of my favorite activities. It is a fun adventure to do alone or with family and friends. Being out in nature can inspire us in so many ways. It can be an excellent workout for your legs, especially if you are hiking steep hills and switchbacks. Walking in nature can also put you in somewhat of a meditative state. The sounds of the birds chirping, trees swaying in the wind, and creeks babbling, makes the hike relaxing. Hiking can give us a perspective of how insignificant our issues are. It can quiet our minds, challenge our bodies, and give new life to our souls.

I have found a few trails that I really enjoy in the Reno area, and I plan to explore the Tahoe area more extensively this year. I sometimes forget how many trails are so close to where we live.
 
If you do not already have the App called All Trails, I highly recommend it. You can find trails worldwide, which is very helpful when you travel. Here are a few trails we enjoy doing, all of which you can find on the App.
